Strike Authorization Vote

Important information about strike authorization:

1. This is a secret ballot election, just as our normal union elections. Meaning that no one will know how you voted.
2. A strike authorization is a routine tactic that unions have used for decades. It allows your negotiation committee to have the leverage they need when getting our raises, retirement, etc.
3. There will be at least two more votes that take place before a strike is called. A contract offered by the company must be rejected by the membership by a vote, and then the membership will perform a final strike vote at that point. This vote now is simply to show the company how ready we are.
